Why the Name?

The reason Theo originally chose the name was because it made people stop and look at it, taking notice of what it was associated with. Also, it expresses the entire process and purpose of the model in a single, simple word. Very few projects can claim that. However, ultimately it may be necessary to change the name to make it more popular. So on that note we will say that "Ransom" is just a working title, and are perfectly happy with it being renamed in the future, after the model itself has been fully developed and matured, ready for prime-time use. We want to prevent the community from running around in circles debating on a name, so for now the name "Ransom" stands until a later date when the community will vote on a new name.
